Charles H. Goldberg, CPA, J.D., MBA
Charles is a Certified Public Accountant, as well as an attorney, and has worked in the financial services industry for over 20 years. Charles is passionate about helping others grow and protect their wealth with more predictability and lower taxes. He works closely with clients to assist them not only in investment management, but also retirement and social security planning, asset protection, trust and estate planning, helping clients reduce taxes, and financial independence planning and risk management. Charles’s ultimate goal is to assist people in achieving financial independence at a reasonable age so they can still enjoy life.
Prior to providing wealth management services, Charles worked in public accounting with the tax firms Arthur Andersen and Deloitte & Touche. Serving in the tax departments, he worked on complex tax planning for domestic and multinational companies and families. Subsequently, Charles managed treasury and tax functions in the following publicly traded companies: Mariner Post-Acute Network, a multi-billion dollar skilled nursing facility company and Radiant Systems an international technology company in Alpharetta that was purchased by NCR. Charles later joined Merrill Lynch where he worked with high net worth clients and businesses in comprehensive financial planning, retirement, and investment strategies.
At Financial Innovations, LLC, Charles offers independent advice and custom solutions while getting to know his clients’ needs, and providing a highly-ethical level of service. He also assists organizations in selecting and implementing suitable retirement plans with best-of-class investment platforms. Because of his past experience as a treasurer for a publicly held company, he is able to show business owners how to manage their cash to get better yields while minimizing risk.
Clients who work with Charles benefit by saving time and unnecessary expenses of not having to shop around for multiple advisors. They can now easily access an independent advisor who has the advanced technical skills and professional training necessary to provide quality solutions.
Charles is a proud member of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of CPAs, and the Georgia Bar Association. He received his undergraduate degree from Duke University and went to graduate school at both Emory University’s Business and Law Schools.
Charles has enjoyed serving as a finance instructor and taught classes to the Atlanta community on financial planning principles. While a financial advisor at Merrill Lynch, Charles coordinated their Atlanta Financial Advisor Training Program and has coached and mentored other successful financial advisors on running their practices with ethics and honesty.
Charles has served as Treasurer and board member of several religious and community organizations in Atlanta. Charles is currently president of the Atlanta chapter of Hebrew Order of David, an international rapidly growing Jewish men's fraternal organization that provides services to communities and opportunities for personal development to its members.
